Today in my Russian History up to the Revolution class we had a rather entertaining and very quotable string of statements from the professors some of which I think you may enjoy.
"Life is a struggle: before lunch against hunger, after lunch against sleep."
When lecturing on the different nomadic tribes which had invaded Russia over time: "Thank God there was no one to invade us from the North"
"In Russia we study history, but cannot to touch it"
"In these politically correct times they use a different term for it, but we are not going to be politically correct"
